I was really stoked to be able to replace my Corsa laces! I cut my originals off "too short". Lesson learned the hard way. Now I can actually get into my boots now, pain free. Thanks Zip Fit!
The replacements for a 26.5 boot suggested the 160 cm length. The 150 cm would be the best choice. They are much smaller diameter than the originals. It appears to just be the cord without a sheath. Identical to Head raptor lace up liners. I have not had any issues with the tab that holds the laces snug.
The new thinner laces stay snug when cinched down. They also allow me to put on the boots with the liners already in the boots. I did lace them starting with the second set of loops from the toe, to make it easier to get the boots on, with no loss in liner performance. Keeping the liners in the boots has stopped the wear on the bottom of the liners in the toe area that was beginning to show after 50 days of using the world cup method to put the boots on.
Overall, the ZipFit liners give me tremendous foot control and warmth that was always lacking in stock liners.
The laces I ordered were too long. One
Size smaller would have worked better. The lace tightener seems less sturdy than the original. It is smaller and harder to adjust.
I was looking for the little clip that holds the laces tight. Didn’t need the laces, but it’s always nice to have a backup! The clip is a great invention to hold your laces in place. Thanks for being there for me to solve my problem of replacing the clip!
