I got the Ski Boot Horn because my new Fischer RC4 Pro boots are difficult to put on even after keeping them warm in a heated boot bag. There is a bit of a learning curve but once you get it down the boot horn makes it super easy to put the boots on either with the Zip fit liners on my feet first or with them already in the boot. Because I use the CARVE system I prefer leaving the liners in the boots. I liked the boot horn so much I bought three, one as a spare and one to give to my buddy that’s always complaining about how hard it is to get his boots on., hopefully it will shut him up! It’s amazing how such a simple tool can make life so easy and erase the dread of fighting to getting my boots on in the snow next to my car with everyone telling me to hurry up

This Ski Boot Horn, which I had thought was not needed, is actually a great product! It makes getting into my Corsa liners so much easier! Just buy it! Carl Gleason

Don’t know how I managed without out this before ( I didn’t to be honest ), saw it on Instagram, looked it up and thought I’d give it a chance. Looked easy enough, and I thought if it’ll make the whole Process easier it’s worth the money ( and it’s no money to talk about! ). Was a little sceptical anyways, ordered it, got it, tried it and fell in love! It’s super easy to use and it makes all the difference between having a disaster start of your skiing or an epiphany of how the day should start! But it, and but it now! Even helped a guy struggling with putting his boots on next to me, since I bought an extra I gave him that one.

The horn does aid with geting the ZipFit into the shell of the boot. It shields the ZipFit heel from the shell going in. I found it helpful to place duck-tape on the inside of the shell to help shield the ZipFit exiting the boot.

I would not be able to get my workhorse zipfits in my Tecnica Cochise 130 shells without this boot horn. It makes my day so much easier.

The boot horn makes it easy to get the liner into the shell, but I hope it last.

Stepping into my GFT liners while these are already in my Technica Zero G shells is quite difficult. It is very tight, tighter than with the original liners, in which I can step in quite smoothly. ZipFit advises to take the liner out of the shell, then first step into the liner and then, with your foot in the liner, step into the shell. This will diminish the pressure you put on the heel cup while stepping in. So I gave it a try. Comes in the boot horn. The horn makes stepping in a lot easier. But it feels a little clumsy the first few times. In fact you need to hold the boot horn with one hand so it doesn't slide down while you push your liner into the shell, and open the instep of the shell with your other hand at the same time to make more space. In the beginning it feels like you need three hands. And you need to keep your balance at the same time (for me it works best standing with by boot right under me. Once you practice a few times it works just fine. The horn is very light and quite thin so I just keep it in my backpack. I have just used it for 10 days so can't say much about durability, but it looks like it will keep going for a long time. If you want to step in this way then I strongly recommend you try it with the boot horn as it will make it a lot easier.

After receiving the product, I had a grand realization. I realized that this product is somewhat of a scam as anyone can find a smooth piece of plastic, and cut it to the same dimensions. You can make your own boot horn! My mistake for being a schmuck, but this is not some life changing product. It's very easy to replicate with household plastic that may be lying around... like use a 2 liter bottle of pop. Drain, and cut to shape.

Use a Ski Boot Horn

Use a Ski Boot Horn

The Ski Boot Horn is a simple piece of pliable plastic with para-cord attached to it. The Ski Boot Horn is the best solution for both stepping into your ZipFits and once your liners are laced up, stepping into your ski boot shells. We tested a number of solutions for stepping into our shells with our liners on — the Ski Boot Horn is the easiest and reduces wear and tear along the heel of your Zips.
