Eat. Ski. Sleep. Repeat. Aaron Rice turned heads in 2016 when he broke the World Record for the most vertical feet skied in a single year. 2.5 million feet. He dedicated an entire year to the project that had him skiing 332 days, averaging 7,200 feet per day. His efforts are documented in the award winning film “2.5 Million” produced by friend of ZipFit Tyler Wilkinson-Ray. Aaron’s journey brought him from the Wasatch to South America to Colorado where he finally hit that mark.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, skiing has always been an integral part of Aaron’s life. Believe it or not, he still loves ski touring and can be found on daily dawn patrols in Vermont’s Green Mountains. Aaron works as a guide for Petra Cliffs in Vermont, has his AIARE level 2 certification, and works with the UVM outing club as a guide and educator. Aaron’s passion for making ski touring more accessible and inclusive is evident in all that he does. He is a member of the Athlete Alliance for Protect Our Winters and an advocate for native land rights.
