Product Details

The deep heel cup cradles and supports your heel and lower ankle anatomy, cushioning each heel strike.

The patented 3-dimensional dynamic design helps to prevent heel and foot twisting, slipping and blistering in your shoes and boots.

Stabilizing your heel bone and lower ankle joint in a neutral alignment allows your arches and forefoot to adapt and move more naturally.

Legacy Orthotic

Designed by ZipFit Founder, Sven Coomer, this insole was first produced in 1989 under the name SoleMate. Sven was still operating Footloose Sports in Mammoth, CA where he designed the original Superfeet orthotic and the ZipFit innerboot. This insole mold has been used and adored by many over the last 30+ years and is the perfect complement to ZipFit innerboots. Like ZipFits and all of the best footwear, these are made in Italy.

Fit Considerations

Sizing

Choose the footbed that corresponds to the your shoe size. If between sizes, it’s best to size up and alter them if needed.

Footwear

If using in ZipFit Innerboots, simply place the insole in the bottom of the liner. For use in all other shoes, remove the existing footbed before inserting your ZipFit insoles.

Initial Feel

The support may initially feel "too far back" as it's concentrated under the inside ankle, where support is needed most. After a few hours of use, the support will become familiar and comfortable.

Heel Cup = Support

Each time you apply your weight, the dynamic cupping action provides stability and comfort, creating a deeper and narrower supportive shape.

Trim to Length

You can trim the footbed to length if you are between sizes. Stand on the footbed and draw 5 pts around each toe. Starting as far back as the metatarsals (ball of the foot), cut around the points, leaving 1mm space.

Wide by Design

ZipFit insoles are intentionally wider than other stock footbeds to provide more stability, and will form to the width of your foot with continued wear.

These things slay!!! I have worn them in my daily drivers, my gym shoes and have recently put tons of miles on them in my hunting boots. They feel stellar in everything I put them in and keep my feet happy all day long. They give confidence and comfort to my feet and allow me to handle whatever task I ask of them. I have been really impressed with the heel cup and the stabilization that comes from it. 10/10 product in my arsenal! Way to go ZipFit!

I've been walking in these for a week straight and now refuse to wear any shoe without them. Even supportive enough for my high arches! Cant wait to ski in them.

I can't believe how comfortable these are. I try to be a standing desk guy but typically cave around 11am and sit. I put these in my shoes and forgot about them. Late afternoon I realized I was still standing at my desk when typically I would sit down after my feet start hurting. A week in and I'm sold - getting a pair for my hunting boots.
What is a drop-in insole?

Drop-in insoles are replacement footbeds that are designed to fit a variety of feet and shoes and offer heightened support and foot alignment. Insoles were made to provide a variety of benefits, including increasing comfort and arch support in daily wear, relieving foot and joint pain, providing support to decrease injury risk, enhancing athletic performance, and more.

What size should I order?

Choose the footbed that corresponds to the your shoe size. If between sizes, it’s best to size up and alter them if needed.

Can I alter them?

You can trim the footbeds to length if you are between sizes. Check out the Trim to Fit Instructions video.

What types of shoes can I wear these in?

ZipFit Legacy Insoles were designed to fit in all shoes and all sports, including your ZipFit liners. They can be dropped into any shoe for any activity to increase support, comfort, and healthy foot positioning.

How long do they take to break in?

In general, your insoles should be broken in after about 10 hours of walking with them. We suggest walking in them for a few hours prior to wearing for a full day of heavy activities. If you’re unfamiliar with wearing footbeds, expect a light pressure at the back of the arch until worn in.

How long do they last?

ZipFit Legacy Insoles are made with intention and without planned obsolescence, like ZipFit innerboots. Constructed using an EVA Cork and natural leather top sheet, these respond well to heat, and will adapt to the form of the foot to get better over time. They will last you for as long as a pair of shoes last, if not much longer.

My feet are hurting after continued wear. What should I do?

ZipFit Legacy Insoles may provide dramatic improvements and relief in comfort and support. However, our insoles are not a substitute for professional medical examinations, core and corrective orthotics as prescribed by licensed physicians and podiatrists. If ZipFit support is not comfortable we recommend a thorough foot examination by your podiatrist. The sooner you act, the better your chances for relief.
